Ellen
Fantaci is head of our healthcare regulatory practice. Since receiving
her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law and her
Master of Laws in Healthcare from the University of Houston Law Center
in 1995, Ellen has combined her prior experience as a physical therapist
with her legal practice. Ellen’s practice focuses on regulatory and
transactional law and she has represented hospitals, physicians, managed
care organizations and various other health care providers. Her
practice includes advising clients in the areas of anti-kickback and
other fraud and abuse, physician self referral prohibitions, compliance,
civil investigations, Louisiana and Federal health care rules and
regulations, Medicare reimbursement, medical staff and hospital
operational issues, contracts, health care business fundamentals and HIPAA. Ellen has lectured many times on health care issues.
