Lawerence E. Chehardy has served as Assessor of Jefferson Parish since
January 1, 1977, having been re-elected to that office on five consecutive
occassions. As Jefferson Parish Assessor, he maintains membership in
the International Association of Assessing Officers. He is also a member
of the Louisiana Assessor’s Association, serving as President
of the same in 1998.
