Born Greenville, South Carolina, September 20, 1960; admitted to bar,
1987, South Carolina; 1988, Louisiana and U.S. District Court, Eastern,
Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana; 1990, U.S. Court of Appeals,
Fifth Circuit. Since being admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1988,
her practice has consisted of representing management in all aspects
of labor and employment law. In addition to civil litigation in state
and federal court, Ms. Pannell also represents clients before the U.S.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations
Board, the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, and the
Louisiana Department of Employment and Training. She has also represented
management in the labor arbitration setting. Ms. Pannell has lectured
at seminars on topics ranging from sexual harassment in the workplace
to wage and hour law, and has worked extensively with employers in
developing personnel policies and drug testing rules. She is a contributing
author to Employee Benefits Law and The Fair Labor Standards Act, both
of which are published jointly by the American Bar Association and
BNA Books.
