Conrad Meyer IV


Conrad Meyer IVConrad Meyer IV has over forty years of experience in the areas of corporate and business law, probate, real estate, banking, trust work and estate planning, and is board certified in estate planning and administration. He is also experienced in business litigation and transactional maritime matters.

He has served as a Director of the New Orleans Board of Trade, the Central Area Committee Chairman of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the New Orleans City Park Improvement Association and a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He is a past president of the Tulane University "T" Club and the New Orleans Chapter of the National Football Foundation. Mr. Meyer was President of the Nokia Sugar Bowl in 2004 in which LSU defeated Oklahoma to win the National Championship.

As a lecturer, Mr. Meyer has spoken for the National Business Institute on Louisiana Real Estate Practice and Procedures, numerous Continuing Legal Education Seminars for the Jefferson Board of Realtors, Louisiana Realtors Association, Louisiana Land Title Association, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Times-Picayune Money-Watch. He frequently speaks to various industry groups on topics of general business law, estate tax matters, ad valorem taxes, probate matters and estate planning.

Mr. Meyer is a member of the New Orleans and Louisiana State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in 1966 where he was a football letterman from 1963-1965 and was a member of the SEC All Academic Team in 1964 and 1965. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Tulane 1969, where he served on the Law Review's Board of Editors for two years. He returned to Tulane in 1981 to receive his L.L.M. in Admiralty.
