Patrick K. Reso is a New Orleans native. He graduated from the University
of New Orleans in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration. Mr. Reso graduated from Loyola Law School in 1990, where
he was a member of the Loyola Law Review and Moot Court Staff. Prior to
joining Chehardy Sherman Williams as a partner, Mr. Reso was a partner
at Seale & Ross, P.L.C. in Hammond, Louisiana. His practice areas
include estate planning, successions and succession litigation, commercial
real estate, debt collection, mergers and acquisitions, federal, state
and local taxation, business and corporate law and litigation. He is a
frequent lecturer to the public on estate planning topics, from federal
estate taxes to Medicaid planning and special needs trusts, and teaches
courses on other subjects such as asset protection planning and corporate
law to other attorneys and CPAs.
Mr. Reso is a Board Certified Tax Law Specialist and a Board Certified Estate Planning and Administration Specialist, designations awarded by the Louisiana State Bar Association. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America in the field of Elder Law, Trusts and Estates since 2013, and has been listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers since 2008. He has served on the board of directors of TARC in Hammond, as a Director of Northshore Families Helping Families, as a Director of Active Partners, and is a past President of the Northshore Estate Planning Council, an association of estate planning professionals, including lawyers, CPAs, Chartered Life Underwriters, Certified Financial Planners and bank trust officers.
Mr. Reso also has 25 years of debt collection experience, handling bank,
business and individual client collections, foreclosures, garnishments
and other creative recovery strategies all over Louisiana. His business,
asset protection and estate planning/succession practice perfectly complements
his debt collection techniques.
Mr. Reso is a member of the Chehardy Sherman Williams law firm's Management
Committee.
